Well, last night Kaleb got to sleep in his new bed!! Doug and him has spent a lot of hours working on it (they made it from scratch) and Thursday and Friday were the big push days, getting the staining and other layers to make it look good. Saturday the three of us spent 5 hours getting it put together so he could sleep in it that night. Doug and Kaleb had a sleep over to test it out.

We are so glad that this project is all done. It took us on and off about three months--boards to bed. Today I spent most of the morning and afternoon reorganizing this bedroom after we got the "beast" in the right spot.

You guys did a fabulous job! It's a beautiful and sturdy-looking bed. I bet Kaleb loves it. And his room will be so much more spacious with the loft-bed not taking up any floor space. Great idea!
