Kennedy Space Center--Days 2 and 3

Kennedy Space Center, September 20 and 21, 2010
We went to Kennedy Space Center while we were in Florida and Kaleb and Doug got so much out of it. Below are some pictures of it.
This is one of the rovers on Mars in Lego's. Kaleb had made a small model of it about 6 or so months ago and it was fun to see it bigger and Kaleb loved seeing it!

All of us touching a moon rock!

This is the memorial site of the shuttle deaths of Apollo 1. We had even met a older man that had an office here and was at work the day of the fire, the day three men had lost their lives. It was very sobbering.

This is the building that all the men would walk through to get into the shuttle. Doug and Kaleb had walked through it, the door had been open. Doug can't tell his story enough about him and Kaleb exploring it.

Kaleb and all the monkey's that had been in space!!

This is some of the furniture that had been using in some of the first missions.

Kaleb was used as an extra in a Star Trek experience.
We had a great time. They even went back to get more out of the extra free day that we could use. I went to Downtown Disney and wandered around.
Also, to let you know, we did go to Florida, it was kind of a last minute trip, we were trying to figure out where we were going... Florida or Hawaii. And we chose Florida and got so much out of it!
