Our Boy Scout troop decided to make our own summer camp in Etna, California (6 hours from Portland). One of our troop dads has a piece of property that we could use. You have a creek crossing that you use before getting to the property.
Ruffy Lane.
Our flag ceremony, before breakfast.
More flag ceremony.
The creek we crossed to get to camp. It was also where I went and took a chair and book in the afternoon to cool off.
Up next: Merit badge, the bike ride, and ACE games…

Boy Scouts let moms go to camp too? I love the picture of the flag ceremony with the dog totally paying no attention nor patriotism . . . it seems he is distracted! It's sure fun watching Kaleb growing up!
