Our last full day we went east to the Dead Sea to see all we could see. Our first stop was up on Masada and then to find a relaxing place to take a dip in the Dead Sea.
One word for this place… WOW!! I was a little nervous about going up but once we were going, I was fine and could enjoy the tram ride up to the top. When we got up there it was so amazing! This is where people use to live and this is also where people died, taking their lives in their own hands instead of being captured by the Romans. The three of us went down to the Northern Palace (none of the tourist groups headed down there so we did have a place that wasn’t so busy) That is where we saw some of the paintings that had been retouched. We spent a couple of hours up there. It was also VERY hot up there. There wasn’t a speck of wind and there wasn’t very much shade, if any at all.
While Doug and Kaleb went and played several rounds of pool, I went and “floated” in the Dead Sea with another gal that had just arrived the day before from Washington. We didn’t float for long but it was wonderful to soak in it. What an experience!

Wow, Stacey Louise, you're on a roll now with your blog posting. Is it true that the Dead Sea is "dying" literally? Beautiful pictures . . . it does look quite hot though.
